What is TOEFL and Why TOEFL



The TOEFL is the product of Educational Testing Service (ETS). TOEFL, pronounced "toe-full", upgraded to handle the potential success of an individual and understand Standard American English at a college.
TOEFL is required for non-native applicants at many American and other English-speaking colleges and universities. It is a standardized test of English for academic purposes, and will be frequently used in university courses as a measure of competence in English for admission.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is used by colleges and universities, scholarship agencies and professional regulatory bodies are used to assess knowledge of the English language.

Four competencies are in the TOEFL test: Listening, Structure, Reading and Writing. Speaking in the near future will be added and removed structure. The test itself takes about four hours, including the computer tutorial (mandatory).
